Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 6, 2026
Crusd is operated by Ammar Software B.V. ("Crusd," "we," "our," or "us"), a private limited company (besloten vennootschap) registered in the Netherlands under Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 91771757. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Crusd application ("App") accesses, how it is used, and how it is stored. We believe your health data is deeply personal and should remain under your control.
Crusd does not operate backend servers. Your data is stored on your device and in your private iCloud account. We have no ability to access, view, or sell your personal or health data.
1. Data We Access
Apple HealthKit Data (Dashboard)
With your explicit permission, the App reads the following data from Apple HealthKit to display your weekly activity summary on the dashboard:
- Step count — daily step totals
- Active energy burned — daily active calorie totals
- Walking + running distance — daily distance totals
Apple HealthKit Data (Insights — Pro Only)
Pro subscribers may optionally grant additional HealthKit permissions to enable readiness-based training adaptation. These are requested separately from dashboard permissions and include:
- Heart rate variability (HRV SDNN) — used with a 14-day baseline to assess recovery
- Resting heart rate — used with a 14-day average to assess recovery
- Sleep analysis — sleep duration and stages used to assess rest quality
- Workout effort scores — used to gauge training intensity
- Completed workouts — used to automatically sync workout completions
- Heart rate recorded during workouts — used to relate your heart rate to pace
- Body mass, height & body fat percentage — used to personalize your heart-rate zones
- Date of birth & biological sex — used to estimate age-based heart-rate zones
HRV and resting heart rate values are filtered for physiological validity (HRV: 5–250ms, resting HR: 30–120 bpm) to ensure accuracy.
iCloud / CloudKit Data
The App uses Apple CloudKit to sync the following data across your devices through your private iCloud account:
- Workout records (type, date, duration, distance, completion status)
- Active training plans and schedule
- Exercise progress and weight entries
- Training load calculations
- Postponement records
- Progress photos you attach to weight or exercise entries
- Coach progress insights (celebrations, milestones, warnings, weekly recaps)
- Per-session training analytics (prescribed-vs-actual deltas for pace, heart rate, and effort — derived from your own workout records, no raw HealthKit samples)
- Personal benchmarks (recent typical and lifetime-best stats per distance / strength session, used for the personal-progress comparison feature)
- Celebration achievement records (personal bests)
This data is stored in your personal, private iCloud container. It is encrypted by Apple and accessible only through your Apple ID. Crusd does not have access to your iCloud data.
Locally-Stored Data (Never Synced)
The following data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party:
- Active workout suggestions and their accept/dismiss state (expire daily)
- Readiness scores and readiness factor calculations
- Health signal caches (daily HRV, resting HR, sleep summaries)
The above items remain on-device only. Separately, AI-generated progress insights (celebrations, milestones, warnings) sync to your private iCloud account so your history is available across all your devices. All AI analysis itself runs entirely on your device.
Calendar Data
With your permission, the App adds planned workout events to your iOS Calendar. Keeping these events in sync (updating or removing them when your plan changes) requires full calendar access, so the App reads calendar entries to locate the events it created. The App acts only on its own “Crusd” events and never stores, transmits, or shares any of your other calendar data.
Apple Watch Data
With your permission, the App schedules workout configurations to the Workout app on Apple Watch via WorkoutKit. This enables one-tap workout start from your wrist.
Camera & Progress Photos
You may optionally attach a photo to a weight entry or exercise record — chosen from your photo library or captured with the camera. Photos are added only when you choose to, are stored with the corresponding entry, and sync through your private iCloud account (see iCloud/CloudKit Data above) so they are available across your devices. The App accesses only the photos you explicitly select, does not browse your photo library, and never uses the microphone.
Purchase Data
Subscription status is managed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. Crusd does not collect, process, or store any payment information, credit card numbers, or billing details.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
Crusd does not collect, access, or use:
- Location or GPS data
- Device identifiers for tracking purposes
- Browsing history or web activity
- Contact information or address books
- Microphone or audio recordings
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- Any data for ad targeting or profiling
The Crusd website (crusd.io) does not use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or any third-party scripts. There is no data collection on the website.
3. How We Use Your Data
Data accessed by the App is used solely to provide the features you have enabled:
- Displaying weekly activity summaries (steps, distance, calories)
- Calculating and displaying training load
- Computing daily readiness scores from health signals (Pro)
- Generating adaptive workout suggestions based on your readiness (Pro)
- Syncing workout schedules and progress across your devices
- Scheduling workouts on Apple Watch and Calendar
- Tracking streaks and workout completion
4. Apple HealthKit Compliance
In accordance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines, Crusd affirms the following:
- HealthKit data is never used for advertising or marketing purposes.
- HealthKit data is never sold to any third party, including data brokers, analytics providers, or advertisers.
- HealthKit data is never shared with any third party for any purpose.
- HealthKit data is never transferred off your device to Crusd-operated servers (because Crusd does not operate any servers). Derived insights (e.g., celebrations, milestones) sync to your private iCloud account, but raw HealthKit readings remain exclusively on your device.
- Dashboard and Insights HealthKit permissions are requested separately with distinct scopes, so you control exactly what data the App can access.
- You can revoke HealthKit access at any time through iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > Crusd.
5. Data Storage & Security
- CloudKit data (workouts, training plans, coach progress insights, celebration records) is stored in your private iCloud container, encrypted by Apple using industry-standard encryption. Only you can access it through your Apple ID.
- Active workout suggestions (adaptive insights) are stored in an isolated on-device database that is explicitly configured with no cloud sync. These are ephemeral and expire daily.
- Health signal caches (HRV, resting HR, sleep summaries, readiness scores) remain on your device and are never synced to iCloud. Raw HealthKit data never leaves your device.
- All AI analysis runs entirely on your device using Apple's on-device intelligence. Only the results (celebrations, milestones, warnings) sync to your private iCloud account.
- Crusd does not operate any backend servers, databases, or APIs. There is no Crusd-controlled infrastructure that stores your data.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
- CloudKit data persists as long as your iCloud account is active. You can manage iCloud storage through iOS Settings > Apple ID > iCloud.
- Local data (including adaptive insights) is deleted when you uninstall the App.
- HealthKit permissions can be revoked at any time through iOS Settings. Revoking permission prevents the App from reading new data but does not delete previously cached health summaries stored locally.
- Since Crusd does not store your data on its own servers, there is no server-side data to request deletion of.
7. Children's Privacy
Crusd is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at info@crusd.io and we will take steps to address the situation.
8. California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to Know: You may request what personal information we collect about you. As described above, Crusd accesses health and workout data only on your device and through your iCloud account.
- Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information. Since Crusd does not store data on its own servers, deletion is accomplished by uninstalling the App (local data) and managing your iCloud storage (CloudKit data).
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale: Crusd does not sell your personal information to any third party. There is nothing to opt out of.
- Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.
To exercise your rights, contact us at info@crusd.io.
9. European Residents (GDPR)
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the following applies:
- Data Controller: Ammar Software B.V. (Netherlands, KvK no. 91771757) is the data controller for the limited data described in this policy. You can reach us at info@crusd.io.
- Legal Basis: We process your data on the basis of your consent (HealthKit permissions you explicitly grant) and contract performance (providing the subscription service you purchased).
- Your Rights: You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing of your personal data.
- Data Processor: Apple Inc. acts as a data processor for CloudKit/iCloud data. There are no other third-party data processors.
- Data Transfers: CloudKit data may be stored in Apple's data centers, which may be located outside the EEA. Apple's data handling is governed by Apple's privacy practices and applicable data transfer mechanisms.
To exercise your rights, contact us at info@crusd.io.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or on this page. The "Effective date" at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
